Trauma Healing through Somatic Therapy

Somatic comes from the word Soma, which means body. Our Trauma, if not processed in the moment of event will be stored in the body. One of the reasons Somatic therapy is so transformational is because we are not solely focusing on talk therapy and attempting to heal our Trauma through the mind. We are learning to reconnect with the body which is the direct source that stores and holds the Trauma.

 

Somatic therapy is the bottom up approach to healing trauma!

 

Through Embodied Processing, which is the name of the type of Somatic therapy we will be using for your healing, you will learn foundations of safety in the body, self regulation and connection to the parts of yourself that have been suppressed and avoided for a long time. This approach is gentle and lasting. When safety is cultivated the nervous system can relax and we can learn to be present with the energies in the body that want to be released, once an energy has been released we will notice a shift in the way the body feels, the way we think and feel about ourselves and certain topics and most of all we will respond differently to our past triggers.


With consistent sessions you will feel lighter, freer, more connected to who you are and your truth, have gained Self regulation tools and cultivated Safety and Presence within your body and being. You will feel as if you are moving forward in life, letting go of the past and growing into the person you want to be.

    90 minute sessions at $150
